Georgia Power of Attorney enables agents to act on behalf or in place of a principal. Principals can be individuals, corporations, LLC's, or a partnership. This service is commonly referred to as'pre-screening.' The agent receives a legal authorization to act on behalf of their principal. As an addendum to the Georgia Rules of Professional Conduct, an agent must: Ensure that the Georgia Power of Attorney is not used for a purpose that's improper. For example, a person may start a broker or accounting practice in the name of the principal without obtaining a state permit. A business can be managed through an unincorporated limited liability company name. In cases like this, the broker is actually working for the LLC and not the main. In the event the principal becomes bankrupt, the agent might no longer be authorized to act on her or his behalf. The agent needs to ensure that the principal maintains effective communication with her or him. It is important that the principal receive timely notifications of vaccinations, and alarms should get to the lawyer at least 15 days before the filing. If a principal does not react timely to communications by the attorney, the Power of Attorney may be revoked. Make sure that the agent is not a designated agent to get an LLC or DBA. Designated agents are registered with the state throughout the time that the business is open. This usually means that the agent will show up on the publications as the principal. The issue happens if the business closes while the broker still has an LLC or DBA status. The result is that the person who was listed as the principal will look as the'agent' on the novels. After the registration is complete, business owners will be required to file state and federal forms. These forms are available online. Instructions and complete templates for completing these forms are provided. Business owners may also have the ability to get printed copies of the forms. All documents and registrations should be submitted to the Georgia Secretary of State by the end of the business year. Since the registration allows a business owner to save money and time, most business owners choose to take action. Unfortunately, not all agents create a smooth process. When an agent creates problems, a company owner may wish to think about hiring a more experienced professional. Although this type of support is not normally required, it may help smooth out any possible complications during the registration process.
